Gum (Periodontal) Surgery

Gum (Periodontal) surgery is recommended when all other non-invasive treatment had failed to control progression of gum disease. Our dentist will perform this open-flap treatment in order to access the infected gum tissues below the gumline. During the surgery, the infected tissue below and between the teeth is removed, and then follow with scaling and root planning to remove bacteria and plaque to promote healing of the infected site.
